New job

Well, today I officially started working for Music and Arts. It's basically like Guitar Center, but with a little more of a fun atmosphere. I was surprised how much fun I had working with the customers and with the staff. The day went by really quickly. The job I had before this one was doing janitorial work in a warehouse for a makeup company. What!?!? Yeah. I did that for four months. So boring. The whole time I was there I was wondering what lesson God had in store for me. On the last day I was talking with one of the head honchos at the company. He was reading a book by a prize winning writer, and he was relaying one of the stories out of it. There was a father whose son began working for him right after he got out of Yale, or Harvard, or one of those schools. Unfortunately, his dad was in charge of a bunch of ditch diggers. His son felt this job was so beneath him, and made his feelings known during the middle of one of his shifts. His dad promptly yanked him out of the ditch and berated him for this attitude. He said, "If your job is to be a ditch digger, you be the best darn ditch digger in the whole group." To have a job, to work, is a blessing from the Lord, and we should be the best we can be in whatever profession the Lord puts us in. I know some of you have heard this story before, but it really struck me as to what my attitude had been at this job. I have been using this new attitude at my new job, and so far I have had a lot of fun, and work seems easier and more pleasant. Anyway, that's all I have for now. GO USA!!!!!
